Lip Liner/Color
The permanent cosmetic procedure for lip color is beautiful. It can appear to change the size and shape of the lips as well as the color. This procedure helps prevent lipstick from bleeding into the surrounding skin as well as giving your lips a full and youthful appearance again. A soft pink, similar to the lip color of a newbom baby, is popular for those wanting a natural look. A more dramatic color can be achieved if desired.
Eyebrows
The permanent cosmetic procedure for eyebrows can mimic the appearance of hair in the brow line. Anyone who desires more fullness of the brows will love the procedure and the time saved not applying make up. Those who used to apply pencil can go swimming, play tennis or wipe their forehead without the embarrassment of losing their eyebrows. Alopecia sufferers are pleasantly surprised at how natural it looks.
Eyeliner
A subtle, natural look, mimicking thousands of tiny eyelashes with the implantation of pigments in the lash line is popular with both male and female clients. Additional shadowing of color can be added for a soft natural liner or a more bold, definite line can be achieved. Ophthalmologists recommend Intradermal Cosmetic procedures for those who are allergic to conventional makeup and for those wearing contact lenses.

What are Permanent Cosmetics?
Also known as MicroPigmentation, it is a process where art and science are brought together by a delicately sophisticated technique of expertly placing color pigments within the dermis or second layer of the skin. This process is used for cosmetic and corrective purposes and creates a lasting effect to accentuate and improve definition of eyes, eyebrows and lips. Following consultation and analysis, skin colors are formulated for each individual. The client may choose a natural, "You - Only Better" look or a more dramatic effect.
Are permanent cosmetics considered to be a tattoo?
In the State of South Carolina, permanent cosmetics are considered to be a medical procedure and mustbe performed in aPhysicians office. Advanced Cosmetic Surgery adheres to the strict standards established by the Center for Disease Control. Supplies utilized are either disposable or sterilized in a professional autoclave. All needles are pre sterilized and one time use only.
Who may benefit from Permanent Cosmetics?
The person who wants distinctive facial features, everyday, year after year - professional women, housewives, mothers and athletic women who don't want to be concerned with smearing makeup. If you have poor vision, contact lenses, limited dexterity, allergies or hair loss, this service has a place in your life. Permanent makeup saves time and gives nonstop confidence. For example, lipstick won't "bleed" into tiny wrinkles in the skin and uneven eyebrows can be softly defined. In addition, after plastic surgery restores a more youthful appearance to the skin, a final touch of MicroPigmentation will discreetly and naturally restore the youthful color of facial features. Scars from facelifts surgery, injuries or burns can be camouflaged. Following breast reconstruction, areola repigmentation produces realistic results.
How long does the procedure take and what is the recovery time?
First, an initial consultation is arranged and the shape, size and color is determined. You will fill out a medical history form and a patch test may be administered as a precaution before proceeding. The actual procedure takes three to four hours, depending on the areas receiving the pigment. A combination of topical anesthetics are used, producing total numbness or a mild "tickling" sensation. A slight swelling and redness will be present for 2 or 3 days. Your eyes will look like you've had a good cry and sometimes there is a little bruising. The intensity of the permanent makeup for the first 5 days will be stronger than the final color. 30% to 40% will exfoliate off. You will be given an instruction sheet on how to care for your procedure, however a normal routine may be resumed immediately. After 1 to 3 weeks, the procedure heals completely and a touch-up is required for perfection.

Manual Lymph Drainage is a European Massage system characterized by gentle, slow, rhythmicmovements. The sequence and direction of massage strokes are designed to stimulate the lymphatic system’s natural detoxifying activity. Scientific studies and clinical experience have documented the effectiveness of MLD in treating a variety of medical conditions in which edema (swelling) is present. Simply put, MLD quickly relieves swelling, bruising and pain. Patients who experience swelling as a result of surgery, injury, or pregnancy find significant relief with MLD.
Swedish Massage:
When you think of body massage, it’s probably Swedish Massage you have in mind. This popular system of massage blends long, gliding strokes, kneading and rubbing, percussive strokes and vibration. Techniques are used to loosen tight muscles, relax muscle spasms, speed blood circulation, and increase range of motion. In addition to these physical benefits, Swedish Massage also promotes a sense of well-being and deep relaxation, leaving the patient feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Swedish Massage feels wonderful and can be an integral part of health maintenance program.
Hot Stone Therapy:

Clinical Massage:
Various modalities including Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, and Sports Massage can be combined within a session. These types of massage are characterized by greater pressure and more site-specific strokes than Swedish Massage. Deeper layers of muscle, as well as tendons, ligaments, and fascia are massaged in order to address soft-tissue imbalances that contribute to chronic and acute pain patterns. Your Therapist spends extra time on troubled areas at your request.
Therapeutic Ultrasound:
Ultrasound is a therapeutic modality that has been used by physical therapists since the 1940’s. Ultrasound is applied using a round-headed wand that is put in contact with the patient’s skin using a gel or lotion to assist in the transmission of ultrasonic waves. The waves are generated by a piezoelectric effect caused by the vibration of crystals within the head. The sound waves that pass through the skin create a vibration of tissues that cause a deep heating locally though little or no sensation will be felt by the patient.
Ultrasound can produce many effects other than just the potential heating effect. It has been shown to cause increases in tissue relaxation, local blood flow, and scar tissue breakdown. The increase in blood flow helps to reduce local swelling and chronic inflammation.
Phonophoresis:
Ultrasound can also be used to achieve phonophoresis. This is a non-invasive way of administering medications to tissues below the skin; perfect for patients who are uncomfortable with injections or in the delivery of professional strength Obagi-C Rx vitamin C serum when, receiving the Obagi-C Antioxidant Facial with The Sonic Youth System.
LYPOSSAGE-CELLULITE REDUCTION:
Lypossage is a new all-natural Body Contouring treatment that will help reshape your figure. Figure imbalances like cellulite and bulges on the thighs or abdomen respond readily to Lypossage. Especially if you’ve been frustrated when trying to “spot reduce” areas of your body. Used in conjunction with Lyposuction or as a treatment on it’s own you’ll be delighted with the results of this unique and effective treatment. Make an appointment to have a consultation for complete details and find out if you are a good candidate for this Body Contouring Treatment.
Why do I have Cellulite, Lumps and Bulges? The fatty tissue of a woman’s body acts as its “toxic waste disposal site” where substances that it cannot metabolize are dumped. This congested tissue has poor circulation (you’ll note that cellulite prone areas are cool to the touch). Lymphatic flow may also be restricted by tight undergarments and pantyhose. Lypossage cleanses the body of stagnant, stalled lymphatic fluid (lymphoedema) that can create the lumps and bulges we know as figure imbalance. The deeper Lypossage strokes break up adhesions under the skin that can contribute to the dimpled, uneven appearance of cellulite. Lypossage also tones the muscles, lifting and firming sagging tissue. Unlike the tissue in a man’s body that is permeable, a woman will continue to build fatty deposits known as cellulite throughout her life time until she receives a treatment such as Lypossage.
Lypossage is performed on the lower body, including the buttocks, hips, thighs and lower abdomen, as well as the upper body, including the arms, and face , neck and head. Some of it’s most dramatic effects are on areas prone to sagging, such as the lower face and neck as well as the buttocks and upper thighs. While results vary, cumulative dimension loss over five key measurement points averaged 6.75 inches in the original study. It is not uncommon to find cumulative inch loss of up to 11 inches. One patient in the study lost 3 inches in her waist measurement alone. Most patients find that they will drop 1 to 2 dress sizes without a reduction in their weight.
Treatments: Treatments last about 45 minutes to 1 hour and are performed by a Certified Lypossage Practitioner in a series of 18 over the course of 6 to 9 weeks. For most patients it takes about 8-10 sessions before the initial treatments become noticeable. After that, progress can often be quite dramatic. Combining Lypossage with Medically Supervised Ultrasound and Compression Wraps, further enhances your Lypossage and Lyposuction results.
Maintenance: A program of monthly or bi-monthly treatments will help you retain your results. Many patients repeat their program yearly or bi-yearly.
Is there a special diet or exercise program?
Though the patients in the Lypossage study were restricted from initiating any new diet or exercise program during the course of their treatments, we find that most patients become so inspired by their Lypossage results that they readily adopt lifestyle changes that help them progress even more rapidly.
Lypossage or Pre and Post Surgical diet Recommendations:
There are distinct and well-known features of healing that underscore the need for excellent and adequate dietary preparation prior to your surgery. Swelling, edema, time to healing, bruising, discoloration, scar formation, and redness all are influenced by your diet, especially in the several weeks prior to surgery. As an integral component of our Anti-Aging Program, a specific dietary plan has been researched by Advanced Cosmetic Surgery with the recommendations presented below. Many of our patients whom have followed this closely report that in addition to the healing benefits, they have enjoyed weight loss, much better energy levels and increased mental clarity. They often continue this diet as part of their lifestyle postoperatively. Sherry Sust, our Certified Lypossage Practitioner, recommends this diet on a daily basis. It is nothing mysterious or weird or difficult, but follows the basics of the Zone Diet.
For more detail you should read The Zone Diet by Dr. Barry Sears and visit their website at www.zoneperfect.com. The Zone Diet goes beyond mere "wellness". Simply put, the Zone is a metabolic state of optimal health where your body works at peak efficiency. The Zone Diet focuses on the intricate biochemical linkage between diet and the body's hormone insulin. Since insulin production is influenced greatly by diet, Dr. Sears determined that eating the appropriate balance of carbohydrate, protein and fat is essential to allow the body to produce ideal levels of this hormone. Patients following this diet to maintain insulin levels in a therapeutic zone will predictably prevent the most common harmful effects of too much insulin--constant weight gain and low energy levels.
